Practice Manager of the Year Award goes to our very own Pam Jones

We are very proud of Highcliffe Medical Centre's manager Ms Pam Jones who has been awarded the 2006 Practice Manager of the year award by the Royal College of General Practitioners , Wessex Faculty.
This prestigious award is made annually by the RCGP, and sponsored by Pfizer, for outstanding service and dedication to improving primary care for the benefit of patients.  We thank Pam for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Practice over the last ten years, and we are delighted that her dedication has been recognised by The Royal College of General Practitioners.
Pam really cares about the services that patients receive and she works selflessly towards making a broad range of both clinical and complementary medicine available for them at the medical centre. She leads a large team of health professionals at the surgery in providing an amazingly high standard of services for our community within the limited financial resources available her.
She has been innovative in liaising with pharmacy services to integrate a specialist pharmacist to actually assess prescriptions, perform screening examinations and to review and advise patients on their medication; this has been a milestone in the advancement of patient care.
Workaholic is a term that describes Pam very well. She is a fountain of useful knowledge and when not at the surgery she is likely to be found studying health service management and business management which are two of the fields in which she holds postgraduate diplomas.
Pam is extremely loyal, very organised, hard-working and she gets things done. But, above all she is just a super person who dedicates herself to the Practice and the wider NHS. She gives far more of herself than anyone has a right to expect. And, it is these qualities that have led to her recognition as an outstanding Practice Manager.
We offer our hearty congratulations to Pam, and thank her most sincerely for all her efforts on our behalf.
