The Practice Nurses
are available for consultation by appointment. Their general duties include treating minor injuries; dressings; suture removal; ear syringing. They can also advise on a wide range of health issues. The nursing team run a selection of regular clinics covering all aspects of health promotion and screening.


The District Nurses
provide quality nursing care in your home, a service available to those who are housebound either temporarily or permanently. This team of nurses provide support and advice to patients and their carers, helping them remain independent. Except in the case of emergencies the District Nurses can be contacted at the surgery after 10.00am weekdays.


The Community Midwife
is available to provide health care, advice and support regarding pregnancy, birth and the subsequent care of mother and baby within the family home. Advice is also given on pre-conception healthcare. The Midwife holds a fortnightly antenatal clinic and can be contacted via the surgery receptionists, or via Bournemouth Hospital Maternity Unit 01202 303 626.


The Health Visitors
are concerned primarily with preventing ill health and gives advice on health promotion to all age groups. They also closely monitor the development of young children and can help you with your child's sleep, behaviour, diet and immunisations.

The Health Visiting Team specialises in Child and Family Health. Groups and clinics offered by the Health Visiting service include ante-natal sessions, post-natal groups, breast feeding support, baby massage sessions, child health clinics, parenting courses, STEPS life skills courses and stop smoking service.

Child developmental programmes are held in conjunction with the doctors.

Child Health clinics are held over a wide area to offer plenty of choice as follows.
