Out of Hours

In line with the National Agreement, emergency medical care outside Practice Opening Hours of 8.30 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday, responsibility for medical care passes to Dorset Emergency Care Service on behalf of South and East Dorset Primary Care Trust.

If you require URGENT medical attention or advice that cannot wait until the surgery is open, please call: Dorset Emergency Care Service on: 0845 600 10 13 or ring the normal surgery number as you will be redirected.


NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct  0845 46 47  to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely feel that you cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains, signs of a stroke and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
